Chinese New Year 2018 is coming up in early February!  It's the year of the dog.  Festivities begin at 5pm on February 9th at the Chinese Cultural Plaza.  Things will be winding down around 10pm on Beratania St.  Saturday activities begin at 10 am and go until  10pm.

The Honolulu Coffee Company recently opened the Honolulu Coffee Experience Center just outside of Waikiki.  Grab a cup of coffee on your way to the North Shore and learn a bit about the local coffee scene at the same time.  The space is large, open, and has tall ceilings, offering an amazing atmosphere.  I love this place.  Great coffee too!

Kaimuki has long been an interesting and bustling part of Honolulu that is just a stone's throw from Waikiki.  It is often overlooked by visitors to Oahu, but lately, Kaimuki has been getting its due credit as one of the best districts to explore on foot, bus or bike.

Glad to know the medical team for the Kualoa Ranch Spartan Race 2017.  We ended up doing three tours together.  We covered so much of the island!  Hope to see you back again next year!

Oahu has such a rich a diverse food scene.  We have food from all over the world.  Many items can only be found here in Hawaii.  And desserts are taken very seriously!  Chinese bakeries, Portuguese bakeries, coffee, pineapple, tropical fruits from Asia and South America, li hing mui, butter mochi, there are so many treats to try.  Hey, you're on vacation!
