4 tours total, including surfing, hiking, kayaking, and snorkeling..... this is the way to see Hawaii.  Thanks again to the New Jersey crew for such an amazing week.  I had so much fun with you guys and gals and I will be in touch.  One of these days, I will be chasing a Hurricane swell up the East Coast and I will drop in on ya!  Looking forward to your next trip to Oahu!

Glad to know the medical team for the Kualoa Ranch Spartan Race 2017.  We ended up doing three tours together.  We covered so much of the island!  Hope to see you back again next year!

Makapuu Lighthouse Hike

Situated along the Kaiwi Scenic Coastline, along the southeast shore of Oahu, sits Makapuu Point.  This ridge of approximately 500 feet offers incredible views of the windward side, as well as the islands of Maui, Molokai, and Lanai on a clear day.  Paved and well maintained, this two mile round trip path was originally built by the Army Corps of Engineers.  It is now home to one of the most popular hikes on Oahu.  The path is gradual and has numerous resting area and overlooks with free binoculars.  The lighthouse is just below the summit, which is still in use today.  In the winter months, hikers are almost assured to spot Humpback Whales which come into Hawaiian Waters to mate and nurse.
