4 tours total, including surfing, hiking, kayaking, and snorkeling..... this is the way to see Hawaii. Thanks again to the New Jersey crew for such an amazing week. I had so much fun with you guys and gals and I will be in touch. One of these days, I will be chasing a Hurricane swell up the East Coast and I will drop in on ya! Looking forward to your next trip to Oahu!
Full day of fun! Great snorkeling conditions, great lunch, killing it at the skate park.... Coolest grandparents ever!
Glad to know the medical team for the Kualoa Ranch Spartan Race 2017. We ended up doing three tours together. We covered so much of the island! Hope to see you back again next year!
What an awesome family trip! Once in a lifetime really. We did two full days around the island. We filled up our 14 passenger van + two other 6 passenger vans with 4 generations of the C family.... including Elvis Presley himself! Thanks so much for the awesome review on TripAdvisor BTW! Aloha Our suggested 6-8, as well as our 8-10 hour tours, include a trip to the North Shore... which means a potential stop at the world class surf spot, Banzai Pipeline. Known as the “Crown Jewel” of the North Shore, Pipeline is a natural arena showcasing waves in the 20-25 ft range during the winter months. Considered one of the most hollow waves in the world, it’s all about getting barrelled or tubed when surfing Pipeline. Riders will drop down the face of three story waves and then carefully position themselves for the upcoming tube. Surfers often disappear from sight completely before being “spit out” of massive, gaping barrells.
Situated in the hills just visible from Waikiki sits a six mile long loop road which runs along an extinct cinder cone. Mount Tantalus, or Puu Ohia, offers incredible views of the entire South Shore of Oahu. Drive from sea level to an elevation of over 2,000 feet in just minutes while winding through a rain forest on your way to the top. Once at the top, take in the incredible views stretching from Diamond Head all the way to Pearl Harbor, and beyond. Tantalus is quick and easy to fit into your day while touring the island. And if you were thinking of hiking Diamond Head, but can’t find the time, Tantalus offers similar views of the South Shore, but from a higher elevation!

Hawaii has long been a melting pot rich in its history and customs. This is certainly reflected in our food scene. Visitors to Honolulu can choose from almost any cuisine one can imagine. But all in one place? That’s where our Farmer’s Markets come in. Farmer’s Markets come together daily in different areas around the island, offering fresh produce, coffee, honey, juices, and a wide variety of street food. Hawaii’s largest Farmer’s Market happens every Saturday at the Kapiolani Community College from 7:30am-11am.
Haleiwa (pronounced: ha-lay-ee-vah) is the eclectic little village on the North Shore of Oahu. Rustic and indelibly charming, Haleiwa is home to a different way of life. It is the gateway to the stretch of coastline known as the “Seven Mile Miracle,” Surfing’s Mecca. A former pani’olo (Hawaiian Cowboy) area, these days Haleiwa is home to a community of surfers, artists, and do-it-yourselfers. Visit a variety of very quaint art galleries, coffee shops, boutiques, surf shops, and small restaurants. Grab some shave ice at Matsumoto’s. Want to hit the beach while you are in Haleiwa? Home to the first leg of the Triple Crown of Surfing, Ali’i Beach park is just on the edge of town. Baywatch Hawaii Fans? That’s right. This is the beach.
Planning on snorkeling while you are in Hawaii? Oahu offers many great snorkeling destinations, the most popular being Hanauma Bay. With over 1 Million visitors annually, it is our most visited park. The beach sits at the bottom of a volcanic cone from which the beautiful reef extends out into a pristine bay. Great for snorkelling straight off the beach, visitors are delighted with a wide variety of wildlife. Unicorn Fish, Parrot Fish, Eels, and Sea Turtles are just a few of the many species present in the Bay. |
